NEW YORK, Feb 9, 2006/ FW/ --- The attendees of Heatherette should always expect a surprise. I got the surprise of my life because it was so unexpected to see wearable clothes and substance.

Heatherette is sending out the message that they are not just a trend or a fad, but an actual company that may have longevity if given the opportunity.

Tap dancers, ballerinas and mohawk street dancers opened the show. Although the show started off as a typical Heatherette party, but after the dancers stopped and the celebs sat down...the clothes started to flow.

As rhinestone embellished hoodies made there way themed with mini skirts, I realized that this design duo is tapping into their market. As usual they are very colorful and tonight's show was no different. Models wore triple layered bobs and side ponytails. The baby doll dresses with high waists in navy blue plaids were a mix of Shirley Temple and Baby Jane Hudson.

More sequence and beading gave way to an almost late 80's Versace-esque era. The full suits of sequence full with silver lame gowns. The jail suit stripes were a great Grease touch. The oversized eyewear frames were awesome mixed with the puff dresses. The male models had slim trousers and two great white and green/gold tuxedo suits.

As the music was surrounded around New York's great anthems, Amanda Lepore pumped out with a sign stating Dreams Do Come True In New York. Heatherette's dream has come true as they move towards becoming a respectful and note able label.
