Nov 6, 2001/ FW/ --- Now that you've seen the formal runway show
for Asian Chic, it's time to see it behind the scenes.
And this time, we are discussing the collection per designer and not as a whole show. In a group
show, a bird's eyeview is always great because that is how the producer of the show wanted you
to see it.
Like in a play, we watch the whole thing through. Also, like in a play, we also look into
each scene and each act on its own merit, and as part of the whole. And just to be different,
we are bringing you the collection as we saw them backstage.
Blanc De Chine was founded by Kin Yeung in 1993. Based in Hong Kong, its client roster
includes Jackie Chan.
For Spring 2002, Kin Yeung, the designer behind Blanc De Chine presented his signature
creations that fuses the mystical east and the modern west. Using luxurious European
fabrics, the collection consisted of silk warp dresses and georgette tops, silk camisoles
and see through wide pants.
A very sophisticated and elegant collection, and most of all, very wearable!
