Cecilia Yau: East Meets West

Cecilia Yau launched her own label in 1999. In less than three years, she already has her own design studio in Hong Kong that offers made-to-order gowns and dresses.

Trained in Hong Kong and Paris, the designer can work on different materials - fur, denim, knits and leather. More often than not, she would use and mix these materials in one outfit resulting into an interesting mix of texture and color.

Technically proficient, Cecilia Yau leans towards couture. She gives it a rawness feel, showing harmony between noble and rough.

Respected in the Hong Kong fashion circle, Cecilia Yau is a name to watch in the international fashion scene.
