Nov 8, 2001/ FW/ --- Now that you've seen the formal runway show
for Asian Chic, it's time to see it behind the scenes.
For Michael Hui, proportion and balance were key ingredients in his work. Modern,
more structured dresses in satin and chiffon were often embellished with beads.
Elaborate dresses in silk, satin and chiffon were the main fare of the collection.
Silhouette was simple yet modern. Choosing ivory, champagne and bronze as the main
color palette made the collection very refreshing.
Targeted for a more sophisticated audience, the collection has the ingredients to be
a favorite of the younger set also.
Sensual and sexy, the late teens and early twenties crowd might want to pick a few
pieces from this collection.
And don't forget the ladies who lunch. They would surely make one or two items part of
their wardrobe.
Michael Hui's philosophy that beauty is about comfort, balance and proportions showed
in this collection. Easy on the eye, comfortable and easy to wear!
