January 2002 (Newstream) -- The legal proceedings between Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston and Damiani, which have previously been reported in the media, have been amicably resolved and were the result of an "unfortunate misunderstanding."

Furthermore, Damiani, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have forged an alliance whereby Mr. Pitt will design an exclusive jewelry collection for Damiani and Ms. Aniston will be featured in an international advertising campaign for the company that will run in a number of countries throughout the world, with the exception of North America.

Since its inception, Damiani has maintained a design studio that has utilized the talents and expertise of the world's most talented jewelry artisans, designers and stylists. Throughout its history, the company has also developed collaborations with a number of renowned celebrities, such as Isabella Rossellini, Nastassja Kinski and Chiara Mastroianni, and such world renowned photographers as Fabrizio Ferri, Dominique Issermann and Peter Lindbergh, who are able to complement Damiani's unique aesthetic and sensibility.

The relationship between Damiani and Mr. Pitt started several years ago when Mr. Pitt saw a Diamond International Award winning piece designed by Silvia Damiani.

Mr. Pitt contacted Ms. Damiani and indicated his desire to co-design the engagement ring he would give to Jennifer Aniston. The collaboration resulted in an exquisite engagement ring that not only graces Ms. Aniston's finger, but is also available in select jewelry stores throughout the world.

As a result of the success of this initial collaboration, Mr. Pitt worked with Silvia Damiani to co-design the couple's wedding bands to celebrate their union. This collaborative design process introduced Mr. Pitt to the Damiani sensibility, and as a result, he now will design an exclusive jewelry collection for Damiani.
