PARIS, Mar 6, 2004/ FW/ --- Short and sweet, Keita Maruyama’s fall/winter collection was poetry in motion set to fine works of classical music. In perfect harmony with the trend for next fall/winter, he worked his magic with ruffles.
Maruyama opened his show with a beautiful, very ladylike trench coat in cream. The coat has ruffles in the back and is to be worn with matching boots.
He worked wonders with his knitwear and fringes. A long knit coat complete with fringes will give a woman the movement in time and in space that she will need during her cold afternoons of shopping. The cross-your-heart knit fringed top in grey and matching fringed skirt will certainly guarantee the right kind of attention to she who wears it.
The designer’s sweater-cape with it marabou hood will assure that the woman will be both warm and stylish.
For a dab of color, Maruyama created lovely velvet, floral printed dress in colors of red, burgundy and burnt rose. It has a simple red belt made from a ribbon that is tied in the front into a simple, elegant bow. If you are looking for something dainty, you’ve found your heart’s desire in this dress. But a word to the wise: This dress should not be worn by women with to ample busts fore a too large cleavage would alter the shape, making it vulgar.
His little black dress is sheer and layered at the bottom. The layering is achieved in such a way that from a few meters distance, one could almost mistake it for ruffles.
Maruyama also created a beautiful green print coat. It is tucked in the back in order to give the impression that the back is actually a train.
The satins looks are great as well. The little layette blue printed skirt with underlining ruffles is so cool! Women with little to no hips should add this into their wardrobe. And women with the right amount of hips should wear their wedding rings because if not, you are certain to get a generous amount of unsolicited date requests.
His satin dress in off-white will be a wise addition to the winter closet.
The grey satin jacket with the back removed must absolutely be worn with matching black gloves. And last but not least, when a girl wears to dinner Marayuma’s sexy black satin dress, she won’t be going home early. The marabou flying from underneath the dress makes it perfectly clear that the lady wants to have some fun!!!
