NEW YORK, Feb 7, 2005/ FW/ --- Luca Orlandi is evolving from his very sexy structured looks to a more fluid and sensual silhouette as he deconstructs and reconstructs the revolutionary aspects of Paul Poiret’s designs.

And Luca Orlandi did not pull any stops either, as he presented his usual turbo-charged catwalk show with celebrities like Carmen Elektra, Paris Hilton and Oxanna Bauil in attendance with a minor difference – the Luca Luca vamp with her high slits and form fitting dresses replaced with a very sophisticated and ladylike Luca Luca urban princess.

Opening with the hobble skirt in silk jacquard taffeta skirt paired with a red angora knit top, Luca Orlandi set the tone for his collection inspired by the 1930s and 1940s when elegance was en vogue and sensuality and allure were the rules of the day.

Staying true to Paul Poiret’s artistic influence, Luca Orlandi used fur as trim, adding grace and modishness without going over the top. The Prince of Wales dress matched with a silk jacquard taffeta coat with shearling trim is a statement of understated elegance that Luca Orlandi was aiming for this season.

Empire waist dresses, deep V-necklines, sheath tube tops – Luca Orlandi never missed a beat in this collection as he showed his artistry and sensitivity to our changing world that is moving away from conspicuous consumption to a saner and more tempered society.

And though the dresses are the stars of the show, Luca Luca’s accessories line of shoes and handbags are also standouts, as the designer continues to make sure that his ladies have the complete look.

Wowing the audience are also the jewelry from Iradj Moini that stood on their own, while being a perfect compliment to this elegant and beautiful collection.
