DALLAS, Nov 30, 2003/ FW/ --- Nicole Miller went knots, literally! For Spring 2004, her whimsical nature brought knots, rivets and seashells – a nautical look which only Nicole Miller can bring.
Models in bikinis held up with a knot, skirts and tops with rivets and “sewn” together with knots, strappy sandals closed with a knot were sent on the runway.
It was pretty, sweet and an entirely new take on the nautical look.
The gowns were ephemeral, and the models looked like sea nymphs. The models floated on the translucent gowns made delicate with beading and embroidery.
It was signature Nicole Miller.
Memorable piece is the white low-rise skirt and spaghetti strap top where the “straps” are ropes attached to rivets. A very young and delicate look, with modernity all on its own.
New this season is Miller Girl where the designer showed a capsule collection. She would show the full collection during the Los Angeles Fashion Week a month later.
