NEW YORK, Oct 15, 2002/ FW/ --- The Perry Ellis Spring 2003 collection shown in New York
last September is perfectly suited for lazy summer days hanging out on a front porch swing or
strolling along a New England beach at sunset.
For men, there were one and
three-button suits of linen and cotton canvas, drawstring pants, and cargo
pocketed trousers and jackets.
Lovely flowy dresses looked perfect and modern
on the women.
With details like handkerchief hems and diagonal pleating, they
were cut to flatter every body.
Cotton-striped pants, oversized t-shirts,
and top-stitched canvas jackets looked great on both sexes.
The fabrics
reflected the easy and relaxed mood of the show as denim was "aged", linen was
tea-dyed, and cotton was used in it's natural state.
There was not one piece in
the collection that might have restricted movement and every piece was cut roomy
and made to be nothing but comfortable.
