NEW YORK, Sep 13, 2003/ FW/ --- From ladies fashions to menswear, Perry Ellis came
through with a fun, casual collection for Spring 2004.
Of the ladies fashions presented, there was a nice
selection of ruffled skirts and thin sweaters. A blue
button down sweater with short sleeves was nicely
paired with a ruffled skirt complete with a belt
reminiscent of a string of faux pearls in varying
sizes.
The use of sneakers paired with several of the
skirt ensembles gave the impression of carefree youth.
And a long patterned skirt much like those seen on
old familiar television shows such as Little House on
the Prairie blended in nicely with the light
country-simple motif that was apparent in many of the
designs.
The menswear collection was wonderful. Many of the
shirts shown were cowboy style shirts and seemed to be
made with the college student, especially, in mind.
The designs were youthful and varied.
Attractive
embroidery on shirts was masculine and appealing.
Stripped belts dangling below the waistline were added
touches of color and gave a nice retro feel.
Patterns and muted colors were used throughout the
collection, and combined with the varied styles
created tasteful and youthful ensembles.
