Baby Phat: Pretty Hot And Tempting

NEW YORK, Feb 13, 2002/ FW/ --- The label Baby Phat lives up to its name - Pretty Hot And
Tempting!
Catering to the hip hop crowd and women from 18-30, the label claimed sales of $150 million
last year.
No one wonders why. Kimora Lee Simmons continuously comes up with a collection that her
target just love.
Powered by a pounding soundtrack, Carmen Kass opened the show in a cropped kimono denim
capris with hippie tassels.
This set the tone of the very fast-paced show (as if runway shows are not fast enough).
Kimora Lee Simmons sent out a lot denim on the runway - from tight mini skirts, to
pants, either full length or capris which she embellished with appliques, Swarovski crystals
and ruffles.
Ohmayra wore a one-shouldered gold leotard with one of her breasts covered with an
eastern calligraphy in gold. Interesting, to say the least.
Hip-huggers, be it pants or skirts were paired baring midriff blouses.
Sexy is the just to describe it.
Though the finale was a little bit absurd - a funky bra covered with Swarovski crystals
worn over a pair of panties fronted by a brightly-colored fan with eastern prints.
