MILAN, Jun 23, 2003 /FW/ --- Three floors underground in a carpark, Pringle of Scotland
brightened up the grey drabness of typical traditional British through
the use of flouro in a clash of 60's style Mod's and its typical
footballing heritage of casual culture.
Models with slickly gelled-back hair walked with refined but sporty
attitude down the makeshift catwalk in colours that went from those of
fading television sets to pastels to sunglass requiring flourescent
yellow and pink.
Pants are tight and worn short, tucked into striped sports socks and
laced up boxing shoes, held up by the ultimate Mod accessory, thin
braces.
Clean cut, smart and refined, college style cardigans and
pullovers mix tradition with the street.
Track suits are long and baggy or become almost a male version of capri
pants cropped just below the knee and calf teamed with finely knitted
polos, long cardigans with ties at the back hang behind the knee,
hooded vest style track tops are underneath sports jackets and shirts
are striped with contrasting colours adding to the sporting spirit that
made Pringle a fashion and football youth status symbol back in the
1960?s and 70?s.
Pringle designer, Stuart Stockdale is able to create a thin, lean,
modern collection that unites an immaculate dress code and a trip to
the stadium.
