NEW YORK, Apr 17, 2002/ FW/ --- Private Circle has a new name! It has been shortened to
"Private."
It also has a new designer - Freddie Rojas, who replaced Qamilla Carlsson.
The show notes said, "A new name. A new designer. A new look. Steamy, sexy and sensual...
The Private Clothing is embarking on a fashion breakthrough for its fall 2002 collection."
Freddie Rojas who makes his debut this season at 7th on Sixth and also as designer of
Private reworked the label into two collection.
The sportswear label to be known as Private and the designer label to be known as
Private by Freddie Rojas.
Rojas who is based in L.A. is better known for his F8 and Rojas collections. Known for
his sexy and sensual designs, the designer redefined the look of Private.
A "model run through" is a must for every fashion show. This is the "only time" that
models are told how the show goes from beginning to end.
Think of it as dress rehearshal.
When you have a new designer for a fashion house, as in the case of Private, the
"model run through" becomes more than a necessity. This is the time that the designer
"gets his or her hand wet" so to speak.
Hence it is not surprising to find Freddie Rojas taking on a hands on approach during the
run through.
He wanted to make sure that everything is perfect!
All that hard work paid off. There were no hitches during the actual runway show!
