NEW YORK, Sep 15, 2003/ FW/ --- Designer Amir Slama told 7th on Sixth that "for Spring 2004,
Rosa Cha was inspired by Brazilian folklore and fantasy."
And what a fantasy it was! Last Saturday, the women were fantasizing that they have the body
to wear those great swimwear, and the men were wondering where to find the women who wears them.
It was skin... skin... skin... during the whole show. Since, it is a swimwear only collection,
that is to be expected.
What was unexpected was the and truly enjoyable was the details in the swimwear and the
rich mixture of materials and prints used in the collection.
From solids to leopard prints to a merman wearing a cowboy hat, the whole collection was
simply a joy to see.
Naomi Campbell and Carmen Kass showed their perfect form with the skin-revealing silhouettes
that Amir Slama designed.
And if you are wondering what were the "patches" that the models were wearing, it's Ortho-Evra,
the birth control patch.
The pharmaceutical company is one of the major sponsors of the show, and also one of the major
sponsors of New York Fashion Week this season.
