Rosa Cha by Amir Slama DALLAS, Jun 24, 2004/ FW/ --- With Naomi Campbell opening the Rosa Cha show early this week in Sao Paulo, it automatically became a hit with the journalists, photographers and guests garnering a standing ovation.

Designer Amir Slama knows about sexuality and how to flaunt it, sending his signature skimpy swimsuits on the runway accessorized only with an occasional beach mat.

From the high-cut one-piece suit with deep V necklines to the two-piece bikinis, the show was turbo-charged with sexuality. And with adrenaline, the most powerful drug known to man, going in the audience, the collection is a qualified hit, as they say it in Hollywood.

Choosing bright colors in homage to spring, Amir Slama also added psychedelic shapes and graphics, reminiscent of the 1960s, giving the collection a nostalgic feeling.

And, he hit it right, because as modern historians know, the 1960s marked the onset of sexual revolution. Of course, no woman during that era will allow herself to be seen wearing these very revealing swimsuits.

Yet, somehow, the proponents of the women’s liberation movement during that time will understand. They might be 40 years ahead of their time looking from their perspective, but they do understand a revolutionary movement.

The only downside of this collection is you have to physically fit all over to wear it. But don’t worry, you have time, approximately 12 months because you won’t see these sexy pieces on store shelves until Spring / Summer 2005.
