Founded in 1999 by two young wedding veterans, Manhattan-based Thread - with a just-opened boutique in LA -
offers brides a color and fabric and maids choose their own style from the designers' collection.
Especially if your friends come in all shapes and sizes (as most women do), this is always an appreciated
option.
Another bonus is that Thread dresses are very re-wearable. So versatile in fact that they are sometimes
plucked from the racks as cocktail dresses.
