Triton by Tufi Duek: Madonna Meets Hip-Hop Then Goes To Las Vegas

SAO PAULO, Jun 18, 2004/ FW/ --- With a t-shirt proclaiming “Like A Virgin,” the reference to Madonna, who is currently on her “re-Invention” tour cannot be missed.

With the corsets and navel-baring tight fitting tops reminiscent of a bustier, the 1980s Material Girl was definitely on the runway!

But Tufi Duek added a twist to Madonna, who now wants to be called “Esther” which means star, as she told 20/20 in an interview.

Adding the popular hip-hop look in the pot, with all the glitter and frill of Las Vegas, Tufi Duek came out with a look that is entirely is own.

Denim shorts and pedal pushers were decorated with rivets and stars, and the off-the-shoulder blouses became ruffled worthy of the sultry Brazilian senorita. Catsuits were cut just below the knee and sometimes worn with frilly jumpers.

In short, the collection is something that the 13-33 will wear, and a statement of individuality in style.
