NEW YORK, Dec 8, 2002/ FW/ --- Runway show al fresco! For their Spring 2003 show held last September in New York, Han-hee Yoon and Jin-young Kang, the husband-and-wife team behind the Y&Kei label decided that the streets will be the best place to show their clothes.

Catering to a very young market (though it is definitely not hip hop), the collection was a mix of avant-garde, punk and femininity all rolled into one.

Using earth tones as a basic color palette, Yoon and Kang sent out a very wearable collection to the 'streets.'

Meant for urban living, the makeshift runway outside Bryant Park did show off the clothes nicely.

Passersby stopped to watch the show, which is really a great publicity gimmick.

The only problem - members of the press who had invitations could not get in the cordoned off area!

In short, it was an organizational mayhem.

The saving grace - it was a very strong collection shown!
