Avirex Menswear Fall 2005
Milan Menswear Show Fall 2005

Avirex: Civilian & Military Tailoring
By Randal Jacobs

Avirex MILAN, Jan 22, 2005/ FW/ --- Avirex is all about tailoring with a military flare.

Basic cargo pants and comfortable cotton jumpers are significant selling points for Avirex. This collection is based on fighter planes of World War II. The presentation exhibited actual equipment and gages from fighter planes.

Sticking to the theme, bomber jackets in soft leather were shown. Well designed hand bags were also made out of vintage bomber jackets with patches.

The colour palate was very basic with no extremes. Khaki, navy, light blue, gray and shades of green were Avirex main colours.

For warmth and wear ability, bubble coats and nice leather jackets were throughout the collection. Classic oxford shirts will go underneath nice wool zipper front jumpers. Relaxed fit thin cord jeans were in khaki and a mauve green color. Avirex is even into the dark denim game with their version of these comfortable fit jeans.

The most diverse and visible outfit was a lime green cargo trouser with a velour matching jumper.

Avirex is getting back to their American roots of wearable yet fun traditional clothes for men.
