Mark Badgley was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on January 12, 1961,raised in Oregon; studied business at the University of Southern California (class of 1982) then went to school at the Parson School of Design, New York (class of 1985). From 1985-1988, Badgley designed for Jackie Rodgers and Donna Karan.

James Mischka was born in Burlington, Wisconsin on December 23, 1960. He studied Management and Art History at Rice University, Houston, TX (class of 1982) and Parsons School of Design, New York (class of 1985). Mischka designed for Willi Smith, New York from 1985-1988.

The two formed Badgley Mischka company in 1988 and it has been financed by Escada USA since 1992.

Awards:

Known for their signature beaded eveningwear, Badgley Mischka is a favorite of Hollywood stars and celebrities. They also design wedding gowns, daywear and seperates, all with their signature beading style.
