BCBG Max Azria LOS ANGELES, Feb 16, 2004/ FW/ --- For Fall 2004, BCBG Max Azria seem to be dressing the cast of “That 70‘s Show”, although he said in his press notes during his New York runway presentation that Jean Harlow was the inspiration.

If you live in Hollywood (BCBG Max Azria is based in Los Angeles), it is very easy to be inspired by a screen legend like Harlow and then transform her into a contemporary person based on a popular small screen show. (That 70s Show is also filmed in L.A.)

Because, from what other era besides the 70’s would you find a mustard yellow leather blouson worn with skinny royal blue trousers, or a brown sweater, piped in blue worn with red pants and both outfits worn with navy boots?

Max Azria showed skinny pants, loose wrapped tops, draped dresses and an ample amount of blouson jackets that is both hip and very on the go for the next fall/winter months.

The designer gave us glamour with the daywear collection that included jewel-toned velvet pieces and gave it contrast with a long, bulky wool scarf as well as a royal blue velvet wrap blouse worn over a pair of trousers cut from cotton bengaline.

Max Azria then showed us some eveningwear with chiffon dresses that showed just the right amount of skin in rich regal colors and tops worn under slim-cut tuxedo pants that is flirty and sexy enough to be a head turner.
