NEW YORK, Feb 2, 2007 / FW --- In a collection simply entitled ‘Runway’ Max Azria today presented the first of the two collections he will unveil this season – the familiar BCBG Max Azria line, while the more sophisticated ‘Max Azria’ will be shown on Monday.

For the sophisticated city girl, this collection has the charm of a young cosmopolitan who is self assured and aware of her feminine allure. And, ass early as the New York season is, the black hose has become ubiquitous, emphasizing that the innocent schoolgirl is out, in favor of her more stylish sister.

Mini empire dresses, drop-waist ensembles, Empress Josephine-inspired gowns, the diaphanous and airy BCBG style stood out. But since this is the fall and winter collection, some of the pieces were heavier like the hooded jackets and overcoats.
