LONDON, Sep 21, 2003/ FW/ --- The Ben De Lisi Spring Summer 2004 ready to wear collection
presented in London today once again made no mistake in reminding us that women love to
look and feel just that, like women.
He presented a feminine and understated sexy collection that punters have come to expect from the American born designer that moved to London in 1985 and who has been parading the catwalks in the UK capital since 1995.
Tailored separates and signature bias-cut lines allow De Lisi women to feel comfortable wearing everything from faded denim jeans with a neat shirt to sparkling evening dresses that shimmer in the light and still be elegant.
Micro shorts and plunging V neckline one piece bathing suits hint at summer, as do the flowing simple minimalist patterned and mono tone dresses and knee length skirts that are teamed with strappy tops and tailored jackets.
Wearable and stylish bold black and white horizontal stripes appear on skirts and petite jackets for both day and afternoon wear, while evenings are almost always reserved for the long side split graceful dress accompanied always by heels.
The collection is made up of cool colours ranging from watermelon pink, turquoise, black and white and undertone greens.
A classical, gentle, sellable range that will no doubt see his staff filling the order forms from the US to Asia, prompting us to remember that when the subconscious is left to do its job, elegance and sensualness prove the most stimulating.
