Betsey Johnson NEW YORK, Sep 16, 2005/ FW/ --- With her muse as Paris, the City of Lights not Paris Hilton, who was sitting front row, Betsey Johnson placed French café tables and faux cobblestones on the runway to imitate the cityscape and set the tone for her collection.

And the usual exuberant and irreverent show that is Betsey Johnson’s signature followed, with models wearing ruffled dresses and tops, lace-trimmed layered minis and baby doll outfits.

Though the clothes are as American as apple pie, Betsey Johnson stayed within her target market and devotees who love her quirky style.

The color block cardigan in sorbet colors will surely sell, while the red mini decorated with three buttons will find its way to women’s wardrobe come springtime.
