Boyd: Under The Sea

When everyone was going to the beach, Boyd took us underwater with her Spring 2001 collection.
But before you start thinking of Disney's "The Little Mermaid," stop even before you say the
word Ariel.
For this collection is no child's play.
It's all about the woman - sexy, alluring and most of all, sure of herself.
A graduate of the Ecole des Communications et des Arts Decoratifs( Paris), Boyd
won the New Designer Designer 2000 from the Rover British Fashion Awards.
And rightly so, as shown by her current collection.
Known for her sharp and edgy designs, Boyd combines feminine glamour with "hip and
young."
Sexy yet very feminine, delicate with a touch of wildness, Boyd's collection is usually
all about the woman and not the clothes.
Boyd choose to adorn the woman, not the woman adorning the clothes. The result -
"cool-glam!"
For Spring 2001, Boyd designed for the Eve of the New Millenium, albeit with an
underwater theme.
Shimmering evening dresses that remind you of the big blue, and coral colors
for daywear, this collection will be a sure hit come springtime.
Created for the woman of the 21st century, this collection is about being sure of
oneself, and being at ease with the feminine side.
