MILAN, Jul 1, 2005/ FW/ – Urban yet soft, tailored yet casual, Calvin Klein is the essential symbol of the swelling city uniform for the man seeking comfort and style that go hand in hand with the fundamental nature of simply being well dressed.
Inspired by the American desert, a natural color palette finds shape in naturally cool jackets and ultra light bombers, the abandoning of the shirt collar, a late seventies twist on contour with safari style shirts with flap external pockets and longer lengths to enhance the torso and pleated pants that fall long and wide.
Two button jackets are elegant in an all hours wardrobe that Zucchelli takes from out west before returning to the city where an animal print biker style summer jacket becomes the motto for the collection.
Tone on tone shirts and trousers are stylishly matched while the crinkled-up look suits make for easy transport and simple wearability suited perfectly for today’s needs.
Trousers are flattering where waistlines on trousers are raised and double front pleats appear on the front for an alternative to the flat fronted version.
Hints of bright blue reminiscent of clear skies flash past on tanks, shirts and even jacket lining before returning to symbolize the prairie with a pair of tailored overalls complete with jacket.
Zucchelli for Calvin Klein gives a spring summer 2006 collection that meanders from city to suitcase and day to evening with such natural progression the sartorial detail and subtle prints become the perfect balance for the contemporary wardrobe that the modern man has been searching for.
