Carmen Marc Valvo NEW YORK, Feb 8, 2006/ FW/ --- For Fall 2006, Carmen Marc Valvo created clean lines with fluid feminine pieces inspired by the oil paintings of Helmut Ditch showing 41 exits in all.

With the use of fur trim being the trend throughout the tent this season, Carmen Marc Valvo contributed his fair share of it with this collection.

Starting the show with a cerulean metallic brocade pants suit worn under a midnight cashmere cardigan with mink trim, the designer set the tone for the entire collection.

The designer used luxe fabrics of Chantilly lace, chiffon, and double-faced cashmere against brocade, mohair cardigans, and satins.

He also mixed it up by completing the look of an evening gown with a mohair cardigan or a Swakara shrug over satin skirts and sweaters.

Embellishments and fine detailing came by way of pin tucking, delicate rouching, pleating, embroidery, ribbon appliqué, and jet beading transforming the designs into the very luxurious and elegant pieces.

Carmen Marc Valvo also used a very monochromatic color palette of black and winter white, which incidentally have been the common denominator at the tents for Fall 2006. However, the designer used a hint of ice blue and cerulean to get that clean fresh look.

Standouts include the Cerulean jet beaded lace gown worn with a black ribbed cashmere cardigan, the ivory satin and lace patchwork strapless gown, the midnight iceberg print satin face chiffon gown, and the printed ribbon appliqué lace gown.

As always, Carmen Marc Valvo delivered and he did it so with a vengeance!
