Chaiken: Sexy American Sportswear

NEW YORK, Feb 11, 2004/ FW/ --- Last season, Jeff Mahshie added luxe to sportswear with Swarovski crystals. For Fall 2004, luxe comes from fur.

Describing Chaiken’s Fall 2004 collection to 7th on Sixth, Jeff Mahshie said, “This Fall / Winter 2004 collection can be worn with ease and spontaneity of throwing a coat over a nightgown.”

It is an apt description, except the he left out that it would be sexy and luxurious too.

Known for its basic sportswear that can go with anything in a woman’s wardrobe, Chaiken has built its clientele and following based on “go-anywhere and go-everywhere” clothes.

This season, Chaiken’s luxurious turn will earn it more fans. The junior leaguers and young socialites got it made this fall!

Jeff Mahshie in cooperation with SAGA furs added wraps, shrugs and trenches, giving the whole collection a sumptuous feel.

From the cigarette pants to the slip dress, including the turtleneck sweaters, Jeff Mahshie’s vision was clear – sportswear can be lavish, splendid and sumptuous.
