LONDON, Sep 22, 2004/ FW/ - Husband and wife team Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro continue to be one of the highlights of London fashion week, being one of the few names to keep the city that is falling apart fashion wise on track.

With large numbers of international press ‘skipping’ London’s fashion week this season, the critics are going to town, pointing fingers at anyone they can from Mayor to organizers, in order to keep making excuses for the constant fall in attendees over recent seasons.

It is the likes of a select few that have kept their wits about them and produced world worthy collections, the Clements Ribeiro duo being one of them.

Clements Ribeiro is a name that exceeds when it comes to fabric choice and print madness, so much so that in the hands of the inexperienced these looks would simply fall apart. Summer 2005 is no exception for a display of their talents in a collection that has English elegance getting up close and personal with the Orient.

Floral explosions, zigzag bold knit, hot pants and the kaftans are all part of this journey. Structured jackets come up against paisley and Sari draping, exquisite embroidery and large sparkles and appliqué all come in a rainbow of color oozing happiness and self-confidence.

Their females are curious explorers, slipping from one culture to the next and while taking the best of each and mixing together a wardrobe to be envied by any full frontal fashionista.

Fun and slightly tongue in cheek, summer is all about sipping afternoon tea somewhere between Bollywood and London.
