NEW YORK, Sep 10, 2004/ FW/ --- Just when you are getting comfortable with the delicious prints and graphics from Custo Dalmau, he changes course and gives you metallic prints and sheen that are delightfully refreshing and breathtaking in their newness and inventiveness.
Today at Bryant Park, in front of a full-capacity crowd, Custo Barcelona’s Spring 2005 collection stepped away from the bold prints and graphical T-shirts that put them on the map.
Instead, it became a symphony of cute dresses and shorts, swimsuits and Capri pants that will surely earn the Spanish fashion house more fans.
Cut off gloves, big tote bags, and cute floppy hats as the accessories of choice, Custo Dalmau delighted his fans and audience with a travel-inspired theme that visited far-away places evoking beautiful memories that are juxtaposed on the enchanting graphics on the clothes.
The Custo Barcelona brand is on a forward momentum, its vision might not be apparent to the fashion crowd, but it’s definitely on a positive movement as the house continues to expand its lines to become a full-line fashion house.
