NEW YORK, Feb 14, 2005/ FW/ --- No, it’s not a catwalk remake of the 1989 movie starring Shelley Long. It is Cynthia Rowley’s vision of luxury camping looks that are sure head turners whether you are in the mountains camping or in the city painting the town red.
Flowing mid-calf length dresses in luxe fabrics paired with long coats gave the collection a feminine yet girly feel. And with fur jackets and coats, call it sophisticated!
The inspiration might be camping, but truly, unless you are a member of the cast of Troop Beverly Hills, it will be a shame if you just wear it at the mountains, because these garments are just beautiful.
From the jacquard pantsuit set with crisscrossed leather strips, to the walking boots and necklace made of matchsticks, Cynthia Rowley’s muse was very easy to see.
The nearest place to a campsite you will wear these pieces will be in a bucolic country home. Other than that, this collection is meant for the city girl who likes to play country lass once in a while.
And though the collection itself was lovely, it’s the accessories that will surely ring the cash registers come fall. The backpack and the hats alone will lead the pack as this collection fly off the shelves when it hit the stores 6 months from now.
