LOS ANGELES, Sep 24, 2005/ FW/ --- Squares and circles, bright geometric prints with a bow at the waist to soften things up – that is what Donna Karan proposes for Spring / Summer 2006.
Alternating between flowing unstructured silhouettes to slim fitting tailored looks, Donna Karan captured the spirit of the Spring / Summer 2006 season, a joie de vivre with a certain restraint.
Loose-fitting cylindrical skirts rolled up at the hem, kimono sleeves on sheered empire-waist dresses cinched by a bow, and Japanese-inspired oversized coats with red piping creating geometric shapes finished by an obi-sized sash – Donna Karan wants her ladies to be comfortable and still look chic at the same time.
If you like those looks, then you will fall in love with the more sartorial structured silhouettes like the beige pencil skirt and beige suit jacket ensemble, which will look perfect from coast-to-coast including the Midwest.
And there is the beige knee-length coat with loose round collar and slanted pockets that can be worn with anything, including a yellow slim fitting Capri-length pants.
Donna dressed her ladies for day and night, including weekends out of town and appearances at the theater or the opera.
And if they decide to go on a cruise, Donna made sure that they have everything they need too.
And that is why the ladies love Donna Karan, she thinks of everything!
