NEW YORK, Sept 15, 2006 / FW / - The ever so sexy American woman is what’s in store for the Douglas Hannant Spring/Summer 2006 collection.
With a total of 30 exits shown of classy, sophisticated and well refined pieces that will leave one foaming at the mouth.
Using cotton tweed, cotton guipure lace, cotton hand knit, cashmere/silk, cotton voile, cotton tulle, silk georgette, silk gauze, and wool crepe just to name a few made up the fabric skillfully chosen by the good designer. Some shown in basket weave pattern, jacquard, and herringbone.
Soft pastels in white, peach, lime, camel, lime green, ivory, tan, beige, blush and soft pastel prints made up the palette that fits perfectly well with each creation.
Details and embellishments placed ever so strategically and delicately to enhance each piece created attaining the look for the season using embroidery, ribbon trim, lattice trim, sequin and pearl trim.
Making it quite hard to pick a favorite, standouts include the white guipure lace slip dress with pleated chiffon back flounce, peach floral print tweed shirtdress over print bikini, peach laser cut silk gingham dress and the white silk crepe gown.
