If there is a designer who is close to our hearts here in FashionWindows, it is Douglas Hannant.

Before he became a Fashion Designer, he was a Visual Merchandiser until 1992, the year he left to become a fashion designer.

Douglas Hannant is a native of Illinois and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in painting from Northeast Missouri State University as well as in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

He was a Display Director for various companies before he launched his first ready-to-wear line in the Fall of 1996.

That same year, his clothes were being sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Nordstroms.
