NEW YORK, Feb 10, 2003/ FW/ --- If Pierce Brosnan or Sean Connery were in the 300+ people
in the audience of Diane Von Furstenberg show held last Sunday night, they would have
recognized their 'girls', as in Bond Girls.
From Dr. No, featuring Ursula Andres, to 'From Russia With Love' with the delectable
Russian double agent played by Daniela Bianchi, through the latest James Bond thriller
starring Halle Berry as Jinx, the show is a tribute to not only to the popular movie series,
but also to the women who were lucky enough to be casted as a Bond Girl.
And the models did the Bond Girls justice - from Bridget Hall, Caroline Ribeiro to Alex Wek -
all of them could stand side by side with Kim Bassinger, Lynn-Holly Johnson and Sophie Marceau -
all of them seductresses in their own right.
Diane Von Furstenberg even found a new way to present her famous wrap-dress, a style that she
practically invented.
Natalia Vodianova wore one of those in a pinstripe wrap coatdress. Ah, to be a Bond Girl!
Pierce Brosnan has tentatively announced his 'resignation' as James Bond 007, having been
quoted that though he has signed up for another film, he suggested that it might his last.
A recent British survey has named current heartthrob British actor Jude Law of
'Behind Enemy Lines' and 'AI' fame as the choice of the UK people to be the next James Bond.
If Diane Von Furstenberg choose to be the costume designer of any upcoming James Bond movie,
it will be a true 'License to Thrill'!
