DALLAS, Jul 17, 2006/ FW/ --- Spring break, the time when college students pack their bag and party! They like to travel light. For Spring 2007, the smart college kids will go to Hussein Chalayan for their wardrobe because the Paris-based designer designed a collection that is just perfect for their lifestyle.
Opting for a presentation this season, Hussein Chalayan had the active, even harried lifestyle of today’s young men who has the case of ‘the go.’
‘I wanna go here, I need to be there,’ seem to be their mantra. And they like carrying just one suitcase; some just carry a backpack.
So, Hussein Chalayan created a versatile wardrobe based on three basic pair of pants and a pair of pageboy shorts. Mixing and matching with a suit jacket, a blouson bomber, a zipped traveling coat and a cardigan, the young man can enjoy the beach during the day and dine in a fine restaurant at night.
Short-sleeved hoodies for casual wear and the basic white shirt that can be worn under a formal suit or a bomber jacket – they all fit in a small valise.
The wardrobe might be limited, but the styling is limitless. Chalayan stayed with his signature linear silhouettes – the shoulders cut straight, the pants are relaxed with a straight leg.
Whether you’re backpacking in Europe this summer or going to Hawaii for spring break, bring Hussein Chalayan with you. He’ll never let you down.
