NEW YORK, Feb 6, 2006/ FW/ --- Jill Stuart rocked the New York Public Library this cold winter afternoon with a nod to the 1970’s flower child basically seen in black and white with an occasional teal blue with print.
From dresses, gowns to micro minis with dolman sleeves, fluttery cap sleeves to halter and strapless styles that all translated to long, lean, free flowing very sexy pieces, it was signature Jill Stuart with her sensual looks and silhouettes.
Mile long coat dresses with ruffles and beading completes this collection that reflects a woman’s individuality.
Using black or white pieces as a whole or infusing both color together in a piece with geometric panel on the bodice as well as tiny polka dots on black background. Who would’ve thought that you could take all that color from the 70’s, Jill Stuart did!
Jill Stuart also reinvented the Marilyn Monroe accordion pleat dress by adding her own twist to that 70’s feel but with a very contemporary modern look.
So if you have plans of having fun whether in New York, Miami or Los Angeles comes Fall 2006, then you best look for one of Jill Stuart’s creation and see if you won’t find just what you’re looking for.
