John Bartlett: Sophisticated Ease

Sep 19, 2000/ FW/ --- Probably one of the tightest collection for Fall 2001 is John Bartlett's.
Meant for the sophisticated woman who is at ease with herself, the designer dressed his
clientele in pant suits and a-line skirts with a generous sprinkling of shirt dresses.
There were inspirations coming from the 1980s, but the designer updated the whole look and
made it entirely his own.
Luxurious herringbone suits and pants set, together with big herringbone prints in black and
white made this collection very easy on the eyes.
The venue was also very luxurious with a crystal chandelier hanging in the middle of the
runway.
Lots of celebrities were in attendance, all of whom are John Bartlett fans which include
Kim Catrall and Sarah Jessica Parker of Sex & the City.
