John Bartlett NEW YORK, Feb 2, 2007 / FW --- Kicking off the New York Fall 2007 season, John Bartlett brought the ‘manly man’ center stage sending preppy knits in khaki and whites on the runway.

Bartlett, who is an accomplished tailor proved once more that he can cut a mean suit, with the gray & white chequered suit, the shoulders squared and the trousers generously cut. Actually, this was a three-piece suit, with a white knit vest worn and tone-on-tone shirt and tie worn underneath.

For Fall 2007, Bartlett also proposed that ties should be optional. In lieu of a shirt and tie, turtleneck knits were paired with suits. Trench coats are the must-have from this collection. Cut wide with big collars, its masculine and distinguished, once again proving Bartlett’s mastery of tailoring techniques.

And though there were many formal suits to choose from, Bartlett’s focus was actually sportive and casual as seen in the bomber jackets and generous assortment of knits and pullovers.

From stripes to square graphics, to the preppy V-necks and vests, they would look good worn by men from 18 to 88, making this collection timeless and ageless.
