NEW YORK, Feb 8, 2002/ FW/ --- The Lane Bryant Runway show is the only stage during New York Fashion Week that features plus-size fashion.

Celebrating their Third Annual Intimate Apparel Show last Tuesday, Lane Bryant "rocked" the fashion world with KISS and a show aptly entitled "Rock The Runway."

Model/actress Carré Otis was one of the headliners of the show.

Born in San Francisco, CA, Carré Otis has brown hair and greenish-blue eyes. She started as the regular size-4 model, but gained weight and started modelling plus size clothing.

Her resume includes being a Guess? girl, cover girl for Vogue, movie role in Wild Orchid, and a Pirelli Calendar girl.

Anna Nicole Smith does not need any introductions. She was part of headline news for sometime. With the inheritance civil case over, Anna Nicole Smith is now a full time model and celebrity.

Joannie Laurer is a familiar face to WWF fans where she using the name Chynna. A native of Baltimore, MD, Joannie Laurer rose to fame when she became the first woman to ever compete in WWF's King of the Ring. She was also the first ever female WWF Intercontinental Champion. She had retired from wrestling and currently pursuing a career in fashion and in Hollywood.

If you are in to R&B, then Kelly Price is your girl! Before she launched her solo singing career, she was backing vocals to Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Faith Evans and Brian McKnight.

Voted by People Magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World, Kate Dillon is not new to modelling. Starting as regular size4 model, she became a plus-size model after she gained weight.

If Mia Tyler's name sounds familiar, it should be. Raised here in the U.S. by her mother, Mia is the daughter of Steve Tyler of Aerosmith and model/actress Liv Tyler of Armaggedon fame. She is currently the new face of H&M.

Tyson Beckford (former Polo model) and Marcus Schenkenberg were the only two male models to grace the show. Though you might find these strange, mixing models from the oppossite sex actually happens more often than you think.

During the Paris and Milan Menswear shows, both Versace and Dolce & Gabanna used female models while they were showing their's menswear Fall 2002 collections.

Lane Bryant is the largest retailer of plus-size fashion.

With over 650 stores, Lane Bryant, a subsidiary of Charming Shoppes, Inc., provides stylish, high-quality fashion for plus-size women in sizes 14-28.

Lane Bryant offers a wide selection of apparel from career and casual to evening wear – as well as a collection of accessories, hosiery, and intimate apparel.

The Spring 2002 show was a mix of spring-summer 2002 intimate apparel and sportswear.

Styles featured were diverse - mixes of denim and modern menswear. decorated dnim skirts, bohemian, red white and blue, gypsy ruffles, safari animal and rock chic.

Aside from the rock-star-appropriate looks of corset, suspender and lace panties, the girls wore chiffon blouses in flesh and aqua, low-slung jeans with lacy one-strap white tops, bras with ribboning, and knickers with feather and fringe ties.

There were also full-length nightgowns in a palm print with appliquéd flowers that could easily double as a summer evening dress.

Fabrics including lace, voile, tech stretch, woven and knit cotton will be revealed in styles ranging from skimpy and sexy to sporty and stylish.

But it was the ensembles of KISS that really stole the show.

Their satin Lycra rhinestone bodysuits, silver armor plates, and silver platform go-go boots were commendable.

The audience was captivated by their tongue-flicking, bottom-slapping, pelvic-thrusting and high kicks.

KISS band member Paul Stanley made his feelings clear about the runway show when he yelled out, "Thank God for healthy American women, and God bless them all!"

The dramatic all-black finale -- which included sequins, ruffles, ribbons, lace, fringing, studs and florals -- was only intensified as fire burned from the stage, fireworks exploded, colored paper streamed down from above.

Paul Stanley smashed his guitar in half and threw it into the audience.

Lane Bryant customers and KISS fans will be able to watch the show on the Lane Bryant website beginning Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at 7:00 PM (EST) on www.lanebryant.com.
