The Louis de Carlo show was a beautiful collection of sensual, wild, sexy earthy colored furs
coats and wraps. Snakeskins were crafted into sexy halters and apron-backed tops left ragged
edges for texture.
The jeans had holes cut out to expose the hip bones and distinctive military style large
gold buttons dotted the pants from the knee down and one single button studded the middle
of the waistband at the back.
A fur dress cinched at the waist reminded me of Tarzan and Jane, or early caveman,
no actually more like Xena Warrior Princess, but you could see the quality in the garments.
The men’s and women’s was mixed in together - men in capes followed by both women and men in
lime green pelts as well as tops that covered the front of the body with fur and showed skin
through tulle from the back. The ‘concept’ piece that worked the best was the black
mink ‘cage’ coat, that comprised pelts strung together like windows, but seriously when could
you wear this? Overall, this was a luxury line to yearn for. Make mine a mink.
