New York, Fall 2001 Shows/ FashionWindows/ --- Michael Kors presented the biggest collection for Fall 2000
in New York with 72 looks from daywear to eveningwear and of course fur!
His Fall 2000 collection is signature Michael Kors - ultra luxurios and elegant.
He brought something of
Paris in New York with his fedoras.
But it was a totally American look, with a modernized and updated
look of the Great Gatsby.
With a strong U.S. economy, and the exuberance for the dawning of the new millenium, these collection
is guaranteed to sell.
Rich doses of fur on lapels and
intricate geometric beading and embroidery on tonal shades of charcoal, black, white, platinum
and anthracite create the chicest unabashed glamour.
Diamonds were dripping from necklines and pearls gleamed while faces were pale and matte and
lips were large and red.
A fluffy puffy tweed ostrich bed jacket was charming, fox ‘doughnuts’ adorned
necks and were sleek and chic and modern color breathed life in to basics like the fuchsia leather trench.
Pearls were worn over black cashmere pullover and black and ivory herringbone calf skirt.
Fur was big and
raccoon stadium coat and chinchilla jacket were hits that stole the show.
Matching fabric headbands were worn diagonally, half flapper,
half snowboarder-style, and brought the looks in to the future-present.
A tweed caviar beaded
cocktail dress worn by Supermodel Amber Valetta was slinky and Millennium inspired.
The model-of-the-moment Gisele closed the show with a liquid platinum palette jersey crewneck
column gown and silver fox doughnut.
