DALLAS, Nov 18, 2003/ FW/ --- Miguel Adrover’s wide range as a designer was again seen and proven last September in New York with his eclectic and very diverse Spring 2004 collection.
As his wont, Miguel Adrover put a political statement on the runway, this time it’s for “World Peace” (see photo at left).
And to emphasize that it is global statement, model wearing a UPS uniform and holding a huge box closed the runway show (see photo at right).
In between the “World Peace” statement and the UPS deliveryman are fashion statements that ranged from Street Culture to Corporate America.
Male and female corporate executives outfitted to work in Wall Street walked the runway with hobos, migrant workers, and teenyboppers.
There are even some pieces for the ladies who lunch and the young housewives on the go.
Clothes went from lighthearted as exemplified with a dress handpainted with seagulls by
artist Pere Bennassar to serious with a black halter multi-layered gown.
There is really no particular focus in the collection. But who cares when the clothes are great to wear.
