Nicole Farhi: Edgy & Sensual

French-born Algerian designer Nicole Farhi is known for her women's collection which is
sensual, luxurious and timeless all at the same time.
Based in London, she opened her first store
in Harvey Nichols in 1983 and in 1984 opened a boutique in New York.
For Spring 2001, Nicole Farhi blurred the line between evening and daywear, coming up with edgy
designs which were definitely for forward-thinking urban women.
With emphasis on structure and modern European styling, the Spring 2001 collection colors ranged from black to beige, royal blue
coral pink, solids and stripes.
Clothes ranged from structured and soft, firmly based on fine quality fabric and excellent
tailoring and cut.
