LONDON, Sep 23, 2003/ FW/ --- --- Nicole Farhi presented a 21st century romantic spring
summer 2004 collection based on colour, lightness and feminity that represented the season
in full.
Known for her classic, user friendly designs, the French born Algerian designer based in
London showed no trouble in creating a more than usual happy, timeless collection that
will no doubt lighten up her numerous stores and stockists worldwide.
Butterfly and floral prints danced on sheer fabric and light transparency as models sasheyed
down the catwalk.
Multi layered tops and camisoles in an almost tissue look were matched to wide classic mens
tailored trousers and buttons are often relaced by zips on jackets and tops for extra
casualness.
For a stronger look, Farhi reworked the classic 1980’s biker jacket and matched it to a
light floral print skirt and sandals.
A directional change took place as ruffled bodices and patterns turned to western cowboy
fringing on jackets with external pockets and on side seams of pants matched a puffed short
sleeve shirt.
A collection that allows women to feel pretty, light and casual simultaneously for an up
and coming spring summer full of colour and playfulness, mixing and matching both sporty
and classic styles, influences and patterns.
