Preen Spring 2006: Knotty And Nice
London Fashion Week Spring 2006

Preen LONDON, Sep 21, 2005/ FW/ --- Alright, don’t get it all twisted, but Justin Thorton and Thea Bregazzi designing under the label had the fashionistas all in a knot with their soft, voluminous and sometimes sweet Spring/ Summer 2006 collection.

Using a lot of pink with their signature gray, and of course the non-color black, the design duo decided for very casual and hip look with their asymmetrical hemlines for minis and blouses.

Oh yeah, you can say it’s been done before, and they did not break any new grounds in fashion with this collection, still, with the ‘sanity’ in fashion that has been present since the menswear season last July and has continued in New York, and here in London, seeing an off-the-wall collection that is lovable is actually nice.

And, if you are asking if it is wearable, the answer is yes! The loose-fitting pants paired with tank tops that are either twisted or knotted create a very fashion-forward look.

The bell-skirts that just hang below the waist pleated and twisted also make a fashion statement.

The unforgettable looks though are the bustier mini-dresses that had been given volume with twisting and knotting (that’s the main theme of the collection), something that separates you from Madonna, but gives the same effect of sexiness.
