LONDON, Sep 21, 2004/ FW/ --- Starting London Fashion week in style, Ronit Zilkha ram sacked the runway with poodles paying great homage to 50’s cuts and designs.

Ronit Zilkha is all about flush pink for spring/summer 2005. Poodle printed a-line skirts and fitted sweaters were all the rage at the show. Ribbon belted detailing, knit dresses and sweaters made a great combination in black and pink motifs.

The collection was very feminine and dainty with using chiffons and soft cotton blends as her base fabrications. The graphic baby T’s and the large embroidered poodle shirts can be creatively styled with jeans and or pencil dresses.

Polka dots were also seen in large prints and multi-colours. The show slowly transitioned to a really well thought out evening wear collection that was filled with color and flare.

A noted granny apple green silk dress with rhinestone glitter trimming was irresistible. Many of the silhouettes in this section were draped with layers and not only dresses but also great evening separates.

The show concluded with big band music of the 50’s that complimented the vintage inspired collection.
