Scott Henshall: Offbeat
By Boyd Davis
Photography by Javier Mateo
Scott Henshall has been described as an offbeat successful London designer, and he fits that
bill to a T!
First, he designs for over 50 stockists worldwide, including New York, Tokyo and London and this
includes Mulberry.
Second, his creations are off-the-wall, a season-must have, yet very
commercially strong.
For Spring 2001, he created a very eclectic collection, ranging from a one-shouldered outfit
where only a scarf covered half the torso of the model, and a top made of two scarves hanging
from earrings.
In between, the collection is very wearable, with a guitar applique on shirts and striped
trenchcoats.
Knits and seperates dominated the collection.
