Tracey Boyd Fall 2001

A graduate of the Ecole des Communications et des Arts Decoratifs( Paris), Tracey Boyd won the New Designer Designer 2000 from the Rover British Fashion Awards. Known for her sharp and edgy designs, Tracey Boyd combines feminine glamour with "hip and young." The result - "cool-glam!"

Nicknamed "Stylish Boyd" by the fashion press, Tracey Boyd's clients include Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet.

Fall 2001

Boyd's Madonna
By Boyd Davis

Boyd continues to get her inspiration from Eve and for Fall 2001, it's no other than Madonna. Yes, the Material Girl herself.

Lace stocking and lace body suits, paired with boots, the runway looked like a trailer for Madonna's next video. Hints of S&M with leather and lace, the only thing missing is the bustier.

Alek Wek walked the runway wearing a red plaid bikini and a red macintosh, paired with red boots. Three words to describe it - hot! hot! hot!

Of course, not everything is for Madonna. Some would fit Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera. It's cool glam and rock chics this season.

Boyd managed to send some very wearable pieces on the runway also and they were enough to make the retail buyers happy.

Of course, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez would be happier!

Spring 2001
Tracey Boyd's inspiration is always THE WOMAN, or better yet, Eve of the New Millenium. The woman of the 21st century is at ease with her femininity, sure of herself and her sexuality.

"Spring 2001 is her third catwalk collection, the Boyd label, which fuses hip femininity and relaxed glamour continues to grow in strength and this season sees the addition of swimwear. Besides producing a collection for Top Shop, Tracey Boyd's clients include Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlene Spiteri and Beth Orton. She is currently working on an exclusive childrenswear line for Semmalina in London." (From www.londonfashionweek.co.uk)
