MILAN, Jun 23, 2003 /FW/ --- From Marocco to Malibu, the Versace man
has a suitcase full of shirts, caftans and tailored suits ready for a
royal jetset.
Under the eyes of Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, last night the
Hollywood Versace man was dressed in east meets west, with printing
inspired by Byzantine mosaics, lapels with Maghreb embroidery and
shiney fabrics in a mix of glamour and the orient. Chromatic contrasts
with bright colours and silver for evenings.
For Spring/Summer 2004 Donatella Versace proposes washed silk trench coats, thin pants in
shantung, leather blazers coloured silver and long shirts with caftan
collars under evening suits, formal jackets and sports pants, becoming
a staple for all fashion addicts.
There was also a hint of the womens collection, with micro shorts and
Maroccan bathing suit covers, leaving little to the imagination.
